Labor Day Traffic Campaign Results
From Friday, 8/16, through Tuesday, 9/3, Bartlett Police Department participated in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) 2019 Labor Day DUI and Occupant Protection Traffic Enforcement Campaigns. These statewide traffic safety initiatives were fully funded by federal safety funds through IDOT's Bureau of Safety Programs & Engineering.
Bartlett Police Department conducted an additional 40 hours of specialized traffic enforcement to target intoxicated drivers. Two motorists were charged with driving under the influence and two motorists were charged with driving while license suspended. Bartlett Police also made two arrests for drug-related offenses. Additionally, four traffic citations were issued for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, 35 traffic citations for speeding violations, and 13 traffic citations for other moving or non-moving violations.
Bartlett Police Department also conducted an additional 20 hours of specialized traffic enforcement to target occupant protection violations. Bartlett Police issued 14 traffic citations for seat belt violations, one traffic citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and three traffic citations for other moving or non-moving violations.
