Promotions for Police Department's Yarwood & Alagna
Bartlett Police Department is proud to announce the recent promotions of Scott Yarwood and Thomas Alagna. Yarwood was appointed to the rank of commander and Alagna was promoted to the rank of sergeant at the promotional swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday, 7/10.
The new commander has been with the Bartlett Police Department for 25 years. He served as a detective and Suburban Law Enforcement Academy class supervisor. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2007 and most recently served as the detective sergeant. Yarwood earned his bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University. He also graduated from the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School of Police & Command. He will serve as one of the commanders in the patrol division.
Alagna has been with the Bartlett Police Department for 11 years. He served as a crime prevention officer, D.A.R.E. instructor, and detective. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Benedictine University. He will serve as one of the sergeants in the patrol division.
