Memorial Day Traffic Campaign Results
From Friday, 5/10 through Tuesday, 5/28, Bartlett Police Department participated in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (DOT) 2019 Memorial Day DUI and Seat Belt enforcement campaigns. These traffic campaigns are funded by federal safety funds through IDOT's Bureau of Safety Programs & Engineering.
Bartlett Police Department conducted an additional 40 hours of specialized traffic enforcement to target intoxicated drivers. During the campaign, three motorists were charged with driving under the influence and three motorists were charged for driving while license suspended/revoked. The Police Department also issued 16 citations for speeding violations, four citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and 28 traffic citations for other moving or non-moving violations.
Bartlett Police Department also conducted an additional 20 hours of specialized traffic enforcement to target seat belt violations and issued 17 traffic citations for seat belt violations. Eleven other motorists received warning citations for various seat belt or moving violations.
