Post Date:04/29/2019
On Monday, 5/27, the Village of Bartlett will be honoring its veterans who died serving our country with a Memorial Day Walk and Remembrance. At 10 a.m., Bartlett American Legion Post 1212 will host a flag retirement ceremony at Bartlett Park. At approximately 10:30 a.m., veterans, scouts, civic groups, residents, Village officials, and bagpipers will begin to line up on North Avenue and N. Eastern Avenue for the Memorial Day Walk, which steps off at 11 a.m. Participants will walk westbound on North Avenue to Bartlett Cemetery. At the cemetery, the Memorial Day Remembrance continues with a brief program and a cannon salute to honor Bartlett’s local heroes.

Bartlett Police Department will be providing traffic control assistance along North Avenue between N. Eastern Avenue and Oliver Street for the Memorial Day Walk. Motorists traveling in the area of the Memorial Day Walk might experience slight traffic delays.
