Bartlett Receives 1st Place for 2018 National Night Out Celebration
The Village of Bartlett was recently awarded first place for its 2018 National Night Out (NNO) celebration. Bartlett was the only Illinois community to place in the top five within any of the NNO population categories. This was the seventh time since 2002 that the Bartlett was awarded first place for its NNO.
National Night Out is a unique crime prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. It is specifically designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.
Thousands of Bartlett residents participated in this year’s NNO celebration by attending the NNO Picnic in the Park on Tuesday, 8/7 and the different lead-in events.
The Village of Bartlett would like to thank the Bartlett Park District, the Bartlett Fire Protection District and all of the businesses, civic groups, volunteers and residents who contributed to the success of this year’s celebration. Bartlett Police Department will be presenting the first place award to Village President Wallace and the Board of Trustees at a future Village Board Meeting.
The Village has already begun to make preparations for next year’s National Night Out, which will be held on Tuesday, 8/6/2019.
