Socktober: Community Sock Drive

Post Date:10/03/2018

The Village of Bartlett is once again participating in Socktober, started by the nonprofit group Socks & Souls.

Why should you participate? Because every day in the United States an estimated 600,000 people live on the streets and need simple things, like socks, to help get them through the night. Socks & Souls wants to prove that even the smallest act of caring, like donating a pair of NEW socks, can help make a huge difference in the lives of neighbors who are homeless.

Throughout the month of October, the Village will have a collection box located in the Bartlett Village Hall lobby, 228 S. Main Street. Socks & Souls requests that you donate NEW socks in all sizes and for all age groups. The collection will take place during normal Village Hall business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon.
