Picture Postcards: the Happy Invention

The first picture postcards in the U.S. were printed for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chiago -- making Illinois the birthplace of the American picture postcard. Since those originals, uncountable billions of postcards of every aspect of life have been printed. Learn about this "happy invention" with speaker Katherine Hamilton-Smith.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with refreshments for this Bartlett History Museum program. To reserve your seat, call 630-837-0800 or email with the number of attendees and a phone number. This presentation is for children age 12 and older.
