Geographic Information System Web Portal

The Village has just begun to implement a Geographic Information System (GIS). Bartlett's elected officials wanted to be sure that GIS wouldn't only be useful for staff but useful for residents as well. The Village decided to begin its implementation with a GIS web portal. A Geographic information system is an organized collection of computer hardware, software, geographic data designed to efficiently capture, store, update, manipulate, analyze, and display all forms of geographically referenced information.

The Village of Bartlett has created a GIS web portal to assist residents and others with an interest in the Village of Bartlett to learn more about the Village and to obtain answers to location based questions such as, "Where are the bike trails in Bartlett?" or "Where is my polling place?"

The button below will lead you to the GIS web portal. We hope that you will find the site useful. Please keep in mind that the portal is not finished. Much of the data that is found on the site is supplied by others, such as Cook and DuPage County. They only provide the updated data on an annual and semi-annual basis respectively. We will continue to update the data on the portal with new information as it is received. We also hope to add more information in the future such as Public Works projects and Bartlett businesses. We encourage you to provide us feedback and suggestions on the web portal using the link below. Also, most new visitors to the portal have found it helpful to view the help section first so please take a minute to look at it before you begin. A link to the help section can be found on the far right of the portal's toolbar.
