First Lady Tea
Did you know Abigail Adams has been designated the first Second Lady and second First Lady of the United States? Adams was the wife of John Adams, the second president of the United States, and mother of John Quincy Adams, the sixth president. Her life is one of the most documented of the first ladies; she is remembered for the many letters she wrote to her husband while he stayed in Philadelphia during the Continental Congresses. The Bartlett History Museum and the Bartlett Public Library District invite you to learn more about this fascinating first lady, as portrayed by Leslie Goddard, at the 17th annual First Ladies Tea. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments and the program begins at 7 p.m. Call the library, 630-837-2855, to register for this very popular free event.

Tea with Abigail Adams
The Bartlett History Museum and the Bartlett Public Library District invite everyone to attend an evening of tea and conversation to learn more about this fascinating First Lady, as portrayed by Leslie Goddard. This year the tea will be held at the Bartlett Public Library, 800 W. South Bartlett Road. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments with the program beginning at 7:00 p.m. This program is geared for older teens and adults. Fall into Fitness with Bartlett High School 5K Run/Walk + 10K Run
The Fall into Fitness with Bartlett High School 5K/10K doubles as a fundraiser that will help support the BHS Boys and Girls Soccer program, the BHS Boosters serving the BHS athletic programs and the future Bartlett High School Activities Complex (stadium) Fund. Held at the beautiful James 'Pate' Philip State Park, the Fall into Fitness 5K Run/Walk +10K Run is a fun, healthy, and friendly event catering to runners, health walkers, and families who want to raise their heart rates and have the heart to support a great cause. The start, finish and award ceremony will be announced by the Village President Kevin Wallace. The Fall into Fitness with Bartlett High School will happen in either rain or shine, no refunds will be given.

Walk for Peace
Every child has the right to a safe space to experience the joy of play. At Play for Peace we bring together children, youth and organizations from communities in conflict using cooperative play to create laughter, compassion and peace. September 21st is recognized as the United Nations International Day of Peace. Bring your family, neighbors and friends to celebrate with us and support a worthy cause! Registration Includes: food, activities for kids and door prizes. A Nature Walk for Peace and Cool Peace t-shirt. Music, crafts, games, raffles, silent auction and more!
Admission: Adults $25, Kids $10* Kids 3 and under free All proceeds donated to Play for Peace will help kids and communities in conflict learn through play and laughter.
