Bids and Requests for Proposals
Bartlett offers outside vendors and organizations a number of opportunities to do business with the Village. Below is a list of current bids/RFPs.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS:
Notice is hereby given that The Village of Bartlett, Cook, DuPage and Kane Counties, IL. Will receive sealed bids at the main office of the Village of Bartlett, 228 S. Main Street, Bartlett, IL. 60103, until 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids will be acted upon at such time and place as can be scheduled for Board action.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The proposed improvement is officially known as the "SCHICK ROAD BIKE PATH EXTENSION" and the work shall consist of the installation of a 375 foot long, 6 foot wide HMA path. The work shall include excavation, aggregate base, tree removal, ADA ramps, HMA surface course, pavement marking and restoration.

INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS:
Prospective bidders need not be IDOT pre-qualified and may obtain plans and specifications for their use and submission from the Village of Bartlett main office at 228 S. Main Street, Bartlett IL.60103.The Municipal Complex is open Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, $10.00 non refundable fee is required. The President and Board of Trustees reserve the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all bids.

 

NOTICE TO BIDDERS:

Main Street, Bartlett, IL. 60103, until 10:15 A.M. on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids will be acted upon at such time and place as can be scheduled for Board action.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The proposed improvement is officially known as the "CART PATH REPLACEMENT PROJECT" and the work shall consist of the removal and replacement of approximately 2010 square yards of HMA cart path, and restoration. The work is located within the Bartlett Hills Golf Course.

INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS:
Prospective bidders need not be IDOT pre-qualified and may obtain plans and specifications for their use and submission from the Village of Bartlett main office at 228 S. Main Street, Bartlett IL.60103.The Municipal Complex is open Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00pm, $10.00 non refundable fee is required. All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS:
The Village of Bartlett is now accepting proposals for the construction of a stormwater detention pond membrane liner at the Heron’s Landing Subdivision in Bartlett, IL. The project consists of design/build installation of well point dewatering system to lower the water table below the pond bottom during construction, installation of 119,000 SF of 40 mil PVC liner, backfill and restoration of the pond safety shelf and shoreline and removal of the well point systems after construction.

Interested bidders are invited to contact the Village’s design consultant, Rob Bachkosky of Mackie Consultants, 847-696-1400, for drawings, specifications and bidding documents. Bids are due September 24, 2014 at Village Hall (228 S. Main Street, Bartlett, IL) at 11 a.m. No document deposit is required to receive bid materials. To be eligible for consideration, bidders must comply with all requirements outlined in the bid documents.

Main Street, Bartlett, IL. 60103, until 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids will be acted upon at such time and place as can be scheduled for Board action.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The proposed improvement is officially known as the Influent Grinder Installation Project, and consists of the following:

  1. Demolition of architectural and structural components within and over the Influent Pump Station wet well including steel stairs, landings, grating, and supports.
  2. Installation of new aluminum architectural components including grating, landings, guardrail, and one caged ladder within the Influent Pump Station wet well.
  3. Furnishing and installation of one new hydraulic grinding unit within the wet well influent channel, as well as installation of the associated hydraulic power pack and control panel within the Raw Sewage Pump Station.
  4. Installation of a floor-access door in the existing wet well elevated deck, including saw-cutting the concrete slab to allow for installation.
  5. Minor electrical and controls work associated with connecting the hydraulic power pack and controller to the Raw Sewage Pump Station electrical system and SCADA system.
  6. Preparation and submittal of closeout documents including operation and maintenance manuals and warranties.

INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS:
Prospective bidders must obtain plans and specifications for their use and submission from the Village of Bartlett Main Office at 228 S. Main Street, Bartlett IL.60103.The Municipal Complex is open Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00pm. A $50.00 non-refundable fee is required. BID BONDS
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, bank draft, cashier's check or certified check payable to the order of the Village of Bartlett, Bartlett, Illinois, in an amount not less than ten (10) percent of the amount of the bid, as a guaranty that the bidder will execute the contract, if it is awarded, in conformity with the bid form.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds on forms provided in the Specifications and Contract Documents, each in an amount equal to 110 percent of the contract price.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE
A Non-mandatory Pre–Bid Conference will be held on October 1st, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Village of Bartlett Public Works, 1150 Bittersweet Drive, Bartlett, IL 60103.
 
REJECTION OF BIDS
The Owner expressly reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept the one, which appears to be in the best interest of the Owner.  The Owner expressly reserves the right to waive any informalities or technical irregularities in a bid if to do so is in the best interest of the Owner.

The proposed improvement is officially known as the Tertiary Filter Media Replacement Project, and consists of the following:

  1. Removal of the remaining existing anthracite filter media from each of three filter cells (approximately 210 cu.ft. of total media).
  2. Furnishing and installation of new anthracite filter media to a depth of 31.5” in each of three WesTech/General Filter CenTROL® filter cells (approximately 2,016 cu.ft. of total media) within the Tertiary Filter Building.
