Bids and Requests for Proposals
Bartlett offers outside vendors and organizations a number of opportunities to do business with the Village. Below is a list of current bids/RFPs.


Notice is hereby given that the Village of Bartlett, an Illinois municipal corporation of Cook, DuPage and Kane counties, Illinois, is requesting statements of qualifications and performance data from civil engineering firms to provide construction engineering services in connection with flood control improvements for certain areas in the north side of the Village of Bartlett (“Statements of Qualifications” or “SOQ/Proposal”).

The SOQ/Proposal must be submitted in accordance with the Request for Qualifications and Proposals – Civil Engineering Professional Services (Construction Engineering) Village of Bartlett Flood Control Project Dated July 24, 2014 (the “RFQ/RFP”), copies of which may be obtained from the Village Clerk Lorna Giless in the Finance Department of the Bartlett Municipal Building, 228 S. Main Street, Bartlett, IL or may be downloaded here: Bartlett Flood Control Project 7/24/2014. Any questions should be directed to Robert Allen, Village Engineer, 630-837-0811.

Statement of Qualifications must be received by the Village on or before 11 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Village of Bartlett Public Works Building, 1150 Bittersweet, Bartlett, IL 60103, addressed to the attention of Robert Allen, Village Engineer, or may be submitted electronically in .pdf format and emailed to (provided it is under 10MB). Postmarks and late electronic submittals will not be considered. Facsimiles will not be accepted. There will be no formal opening of the SOQ/Proposals. The Village will not be responsible for errors or omissions occurring in the transmission or downloading of the RFQ/RFP or the grading plan and engineering documents and HMGP Grant Submittal document from the Village website or in the transmission or downloading of any SOQ/Proposal.

The Village previously determined that the engineering firm selected to perform the design engineering services for this flood control will not be eligible to perform the construction engineering services for this project.

The Village reserves the right to waive minor irregularities and nonconformities in any SOQ/Proposal when it is in the best interest of the Village and reserves the right to request more information and/or clarification from engineering firms that submit an SOQ/Proposal and may, but need not, conduct interviews. The Village will make evaluations and rankings of engineering firms based on the criteria set forth in the RFQ/RFP and will attempt to negotiate a contract with the highest ranked engineering firm at fair and reasonable compensation at a fixed price or hourly cost with a not to exceed cap. If the Village is not able to negotiate a contract with the firm which is preferred, negotiations with that firm shall be terminated and negotiations shall begin with the firm which is next preferred. Any contract for professional engineering services shall be subject to the approval of the Village of Bartlett corporate authorities in their sole and absolute discretion.



Notice is hereby given that the Village of Bartlett, Cook, DuPage and Kane Counties, IL will receive sealed bids at the BARTLETT MUNICIPAL COMPLEX, at the MAIN OFFICE, 228 S. Main Street, Bartlett, IL 60103, until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014, at which time bid will be publicly opened and read. Bids will be acted upon at such time and place as may then be fixed.

The bid is to furnish and deliver to the Village of Bartlett a firm quantity of 1,500 tons of bulk rock salt to be used for snow and ice control.

The President and Board of Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all proposals and waive all technicalities.
