Results of IDOT Labor Day Safety Campaign

Bartlett Police Department participated in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) 2017 Labor Day DUI and Seat Belt enforcement campaign from 8/21 through 9/5. This traffic campaign was funded by federal safety funds through IDOT's Division of Traffic Safety.

The police department conducted an additional 40 hours of specialized traffic enforcement to target intoxicated drivers. Three motorists were charged with driving under the influence, four motorists with driving while license suspended/revoked, one motorist for aggravated speeding and officers also made one warrant arrest. Bartlett Police also issued 25 citations for speeding violations, four citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and 10 traffic citations for other moving or non-moving violations.

In addition, Bartlett Police conducted 20 hours of specialized traffic enforcement to target seat belt violations. Officers charged three motorists for driving while license suspended/revoked, made two warrant arrests and issued 24 traffic citations for seat belt violations. Three other motorists received citations for various moving or non-moving violations.
