The May/June exhibit "Classical Perception" comprises drawings by Chi at the Bartlett Village Hall 2nd floor gallery, 228 S. Main Street. At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, 5/19, there will be a free reception with light refreshments for Chi at the Village Hall gallery. No reservations are required.

Chi is currently a professor in the art department at Eastern Illinois University, where she teaches courses in painting and life drawing. Inspired by the human figure, she paints in a style reminiscent of the old masters, conducting a personal, sometimes rather sly dialogue with the Italian Renaissance in particular.
The Village Hall exhibit is free and open to the public during regular Village Hall hours: Mon - Fri 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. & Sat, 9 a.m. to noon. For more information, call 630-372-4152 or go to www.artsinbartlett.org.
